Project Update - Our first week
ATA is just getting started. A huge thanks to everyone who’s read, shared, and supported this journey so far.

Just one week in, Across The Americas (ATA) — the newsletter of insightful and independent journalism from the Rio Grande Valley — has already welcomed 1,000+ individual readers online across thousands of page views, and just over one hundred email subscribers.
Stories from our first week
ATA stories this week included coverage of the historic and deadly flooding in the Rio Grande Valley, and a follow-up on community resources available to those seeking aid from flood damage.
We told the story of how Sergeant Alfredo "Freddy" Gonzalez, renowned Rio Grande Valley war hero removed from a U.S. history website by the Trump administration, earned his Purple Heart in Vietnam.
And this weekend, we published an in-depth report on the grassroots movement that culminated in valley-wide protests in solidarity with the national "Hands off!" movement on Saturday.

ATA is just getting started. ✨ A huge thanks to everyone who’s read, shared, and supported this journey so far. 🙏
